I have told my story ad naseum on my other sites...so let's just hit the artsey parts on this one. Not to fret, I will have plenty of links to my other sites so you can read as much (or as little) as you want to about me and mine.

Steve and I fell in love with alpacas after watching the now infamous DIRTY JOBS episode with alpacas. I took one look at them and said, "I got to have me some of them!"

We jumped head first, or is that feet first, in the world of alpacas and have not looked back!

Ever the artesy one, I was sitting gazing into the stars one night when when the solution to global warming came to me...followed by a great idea to create paintings of alpacas and use their fiber in the actual painting! Sadly, I lost the solution for global warming, but I did remember my painting idea! My apologies to Al Gore...

So, I grabbed some fiber, a photo and started to paint and play! The painting you see on the first page was the result. That portrait of their adored Marissa was a gift for Martha Dobbins of Encore Alpacas for her last birthday, I will not tell her age - teehee.

I know that by now you are just twitching to have one, or all, of yoiur alpacas painted in this unique style. Call me or email me - but don't delay, as I have a feeling I am going to be BUSY!

By the way, I am a Board of Director for the AFCNA and have finally come up with a way to utilize ALL the fiber from an alpaca...wait until I tell John!
